Park Tool VP-1 Bike Tube Patch Kit (6+24) Vulcanizing Rubber flat tire

For sale is one new:  1-piece Park Tool Self-Vulcanizing Rubber Bicycle Patch Kit with Six Patches, Cement, and Sandpaper, plus Twenty-Four Generic Refills.


The Park Tool VP-1 includes six assorted self-vulcanizing patches suitable for bicycle tube puncture repair.  Tube surface should be lightly sanded before application, and cement allowed to fully dry.  Once tube is opened, it is advisable to carry a second tube of cement in case the open tube dries out.  Open tubes can be kept fresh longer by applying a doubled piece of plastic wrap over the nozzle before capping.
Notes:  
1) Protective film can prevent patches from stretching inside of the tire.  Once patch is adhered, removal of film is recommended.  To prevent lifting of the patch, film can be peeled from the inside outward after creating a break in the film by flexing the patch; the break can be encouraged by carefully scoring only the film with a sharp blade.  If film cannot be easily removed, it is best left in place.
2) The edge of the patch may stick to the foil backing on initial peeling.  So long as there is a small gap, it can gently be widened with the fingertip or a sharp blade, working along the edge until the foil can be easily peeled away.  If there is no gap, try peeling in a different spot, or gently use a sharp blade to get the patch started. 

3) Sticking of either the film or foil should not be considered a defect.  The issue is inherent to sheet patches, and while a little challenging at first, easily overcome with a little care and practice.
